Korean cosmetics or K-beauty
Korean beauty, also known as K-beauty, has become a worldwide craze over the past few years thanks to its quality and innovative products. The creation of the BB cream in 2012 is one of the reasons why Korean cosmetics have become international and successful worldwide. The cultural history of cosmetics in Korea
Since ancient times, Koreans have believed that good or bad appearance can affect their inner self positively or negatively. That’s why Koreans innovate in research and development to make cutting-edge skincare and make-up products: masks, cleansers, creams, serums, BB creams, CC creams, etc.
A Korean skincare ritual: layering
Korean beauty is characterised by the application of several layers of skincare to obtain a flawless complexion. This technique is called layering or the “mille-feuilles” technique. It consists of the superposition of 7 beauty products in a precise order. The steps are as follows:
Cleansing of the skin with a make-up remover oil
Second cleansing with a soap or gel cleanser to remove the last impurities.
Application of a lotion or mist. Moist skin allows better absorption of the benefits of the creams and serums that follow the beauty routine.
Use of an eye contour cream to moisturise this fine and sensitive part of the face.
Application of a serum to prepare the skin for daily care and reinforce its action.

Finally, Korean products have the particularity of respecting the skin’s balance, of being adapted to all types of skin, even the most sensitive or fragile, and of providing a “baby skin” effect. In addition, natural ingredients are incorporated into these products such as chilli, charcoal, green tea and even snail slime.

Centella asiatica
Centella asiatica, also known as Tiger Herb, is a plant native to Asia with remarkable properties. It prevents the first signs of ageing, brings firmness to the skin, soothes and improves skin elasticity.
We find this ingredient in the CC cream. The CC cream is a skin perfecting care product that illuminates the complexion and unifies the face in a very natural way. Available in several shades, it protects, moisturises and treats the first signs of ageing.
Centella asiatica is also present in CC Dull Correct. This purple tinted product brings radiance to the complexion and blurs imperfections. It can be used as a day care during your no-makeup days or before foundation. Its purple pigments blend perfectly with all skin tones.
Ginseng
Ginseng is a Chinese root that has been used for thousands of years in Asian pharmacopoeia. It fights against the first signs of ageing and protects against external aggressions such as pollution, stress and smoking. It also has moisturising, toning and smoothing properties. We find this ingredient in particular in detox products for the skin.
At the heart of the Erborian ranges, ginseng is incorporated in the Skin Hero Perfecteur product. This soft-textured cream is a non-tinted skin care product that improves the quality of the skin. What are the steps to take for baby skin?
For soft and silky skin, we recommend using the layering technique, which consists of using several products in your routine. When applying your skin care products, you should massage your skin from the inside to the outside. This stimulates the blood microcirculation and oxygenates the tissues. The skin is also firmed and toned.
Then, when applying make-up, you can opt for a complexion perfector followed by a BB cream. As far as complexion perfectors are concerned, we suggest the Matte Crème Effet Flouté to mattify your face or the CC Red Correct to reduce redness.
What is the difference between a BB cream and a CC cream?
The BB cream has more coverage than the CC cream and offers a velvety, slightly matte finish and helps to conceal imperfections. CC cream is lighter, more fluid and leaves a luminous and natural finish.

For fair or pinkish skin, choose the light shade
For light beige skin, the nude shade is ideal. When summer arrives, we advise you to switch from the nude shade to the golden shade.
For tanned, slightly matt skin, the golden shade will enhance your skin.
