In doing so, we have opted for ingredients that are kind to the skin and the environment. Finally, their suncare products are formulated without a large number of UV filters, to protect the health of the skin and the oceans.
Short, effective formulas
Transparency is a fundamental value at La Rosée. Safe formulas
In fact, all La Rosée products undergo rigorous dermatological testing, demonstrating their effectiveness and maximum tolerance on all skin types. Even the most sensitive! What’s more, their baby products are tested under paediatric supervision, guaranteeing optimum safety for little ones.
Biodegradable formulas
Biodegradability is an essential criterion in the development of the brand’s products, because it is aware of the impact of waste water on the environment. In fact, La Rosée is committed to developing highly biodegradable formulas, helping to preserve aquatic ecosystems.
Formulas not tested on animals
In accordance with European regulations, none of their products are tested on animals. What’s more, most of their skincare products are vegan, with the exception of a few that contain beeswax or non-vegan natural colourants.

La Rosée Cosmétiques suncare products: effective skin protection that respects the oceans
Sunscreen formulation: a real challenge for the oceans
At a time when preserving marine ecosystems has become a priority, formulating suncare products represents a real challenge. In recent years, we have been faced with a dilemma! How do you create an effective suncare range while preserving the oceans and coral reefs?
Alarming figures
Coral reefs, often referred to as the “temple of marine life”, are under increasing pressure, particularly from bleaching caused by global warming and the use of toxic chemicals. This alarming situation has prompted the brand to completely rethink its suncare formulations to guarantee optimum protection for the skin while limiting its impact on the marine ecosystem.
A solution that respects the marine ecosystem
Aware of its responsibility as a player in the cosmetics industry, La Rosée decided to develop an environmentally-friendly suncare range. After a great deal of research and experimentation, it has finally found the ideal solution: a natural formula base combined with new-generation organic filters, specially designed to limit its impact on the oceans.
New-generation organic filters
These sun filters are the result of a strategic and ethical choice. The laboratory has ruled out mineral filters, now considered toxic for corals and phytoplankton, as well as conventional chemical filters, known for their harmful effects on human and marine health. Instead, it has opted for new-generation organic filters. Selected for their high water resistance, easy biodegradability and broad UVA/UVB spectrum, they guarantee maximum protection for the skin.
Strict, ultra-pushed tests
Before marketing its products, La Rosée subjected its formulations to rigorous tests. The aim was to check that they were non-toxic to marine biodiversity. The results were very encouraging! In fact, they demonstrated the effectiveness of its suncare products without compromising the health of corals and seaweed.
