Spring energy

Spring is already here… Have you noticed it? Listen to the playful discussions of the sparrows, lean over and watch the vegetation change carefully, but surely. Our almond trees are already adorned with their flowers, the first buds are conscientiously growing, and gently, with muffled steps, nature emerges from its winter torpor. And you ? What’s going on inside you? In your body? In your heart and in your head? Do you also feel this renewed vital impetus making its way? This enthusiasm and this freshness that pushes you to unfold? Aren’t you flooded with new ideas? New projects? And a desire to feel reborn to yourself?

Nature renews itself, our body too!

Spring is the season of rebirths. A new cycle begins, characterized by fertility, abundance and expansion. Hibernating mammals will break with the winter rest and gradually bring out their nose. Spring is a period of transition between the harsh winters and the summer to come. Like nature, our body has slowed down during the winter: reduced activity, longer rest period, retreat to our homes.

This is due in particular to the production by our body of a surplus of melatonin in response to the dark days of winter. This hormone that promotes sleep also makes us a little more lethargic and tired. In the spring, the level of melatonin is reduced, we feel better, more vigorous and more energetic. In addition, the lengthening of the days, the sunnier and happier days contribute to the ambient crackling specific to spring, and stimulate our senses. Clearly, our energy is on the rise and we want renewal, freshness, beauty… as Nature offers us!

Why detox?

During the cold season, our body is loaded with toxins (richer diet, reduced physical activity, fatigue, stress) and our body is often devitalized in these first days of spring.

Our liver, which has nevertheless worked hard, is still solicited by the changes imposed (food changes, milder temperatures, increased activity). The spring detox cure will be particularly beneficial.

ENT ailments are going well these days. Nothing more normal. Your nose runs and your bronchial tubes are congested? Your body, thanks to its intelligence, has already started its detox. Might as well accompany him, isn’t it?

Our body somehow got “fouled” during the winter, saturated with the accumulation of toxins. The detox helps the emunctories in their work of purification.

How to detox?

The existing tools are multiple to detoxify, but your personalized detox cure is unique, in accordance with your temperament and your energy. The advice for a good detox can be summarized in 5 points:

  • Stop overloading, lighten your plates!

– Exit the dishes in sauce and the gratins overflowing with fresh cream. Dairy and animal products should be reduced.
– Avoid sugars and stimulants.
– Fresh fruits and vegetables, eaten raw as much as possible, fruits and oilseeds, sprouted seeds, proteins and light cereals are to be preferred.

  • Drink, eliminate!

Water is a key agent in the purification of the body, and the quality of our humors (liquids) depends on it!! So, drink plenty of low-mineralized water.

  • Move and breathe!

It’s time to resume physical activity if winter has discouraged you. Gently, but with regularity! The movement puts the liquids of our body into circulation and thus stimulates the purifying organs.

Breathing is a way to detoxify both your body and your mind. Five to ten minutes a day of conscious belly breathing will do you the most good. Gradually this deep and physiological breathing will become part of your habits.

  • Listen to your needs:

Even if the first flowers and the bright days of spring stimulate you, take time to rest. Alternate your needs for movement and tranquility.

  • Phytotherapy and aromatherapy:

Two unparalleled allies to support emunctorial functions. Plants in their different forms can accompany you in this detox process. Desmodium , milk thistle , artichoke , rosemary , dandelion , but also juniper , garlic , birch … There is something for all temperaments and for all needs, depending on your terrain.
