This sweet-smelling lotion will appeal to you not only because of its smell, but more importantly because the essential oils used are known for their ability to tighten the skin’s pores and reduce the uneven appearance of orange peel skin. – 1 cup unscented body lotion or milk – 1 tablespoon of witch hazel hydrosol ( Avril ‘s is perfect!) – 3 to 5 drops of each of the following essential oils: juniper, rosemary, cypress and grapefruit First, mix the essential oils with the witch hazel, then add the milk and stir or shake vigorously. Use this lotion after showering and before bedtime, working it into the skin in a circular motion.
2. Coffee scrub
Caffeine is one of the main ingredients used in many anti-cellulite creams. You can apply coffee grounds directly to your legs, using gentle circular massages. In this way, you will benefit from both its exfoliating action and its stimulating effect on microcirculation! Here is how to make a coffee scrub against cellulite. – 1 cup of coffee grounds (be sure to save your morning pod!) – 1/4 cup of sweet almond, olive or jojoba oil Mix these two ingredients and apply to damp skin, massaging well in small circular motions. You can “wrap” the area with plastic wrap (cellophane) and then a towel. Leave on for about 10 to 15 minutes and then rinse off under shower water.
3. Fruit cream
The presence of acids such as tartaric and citric acid in some fruits can help reduce cellulite. This recipe also uses sugar, which can act as an exfoliant to increase circulation and tone the skin.
- 1 tablespoon sweet almond oil
- 3 tablespoons sugar
- 1/2 cup fresh strawberry puree Apply this cream as described for the one made from coffee grounds. You may also consider wrapping the treated area with plastic wrap for about ten minutes.
